Diversity Business Economic Development of Tennessee
WHO WE ARE
The Diversity Business Economic Development of Tennessee is a very unique organization that operates as a hybrid chamber of commerce. In other words, we aim to economically and socioeconomically support entrepreneurs and small businesses of diversity across all cultures.
WHAT WE DO
We are created and established as a safe space to educate, network, patron, and provide resources for the underrepresented communities of diversity and people of color that face economic inequality. Our goal is to also breakdown culture barriers across all communities of color to create a network of resources.
HOW WE PLAN TO DIVERSIFY
We are currently seeking diverse Board Members from many different race groups, backgrounds, and cultures to help make decisions on moving the organization forward. Most importantly, how to effectively communicate and learn more about different business cultures.

Taking Economic Accountability of Our Community
Why We Exist
The Diversity Business Economic Development of Tennessee was created and established as a safe space to educate, network, patron, and provide resources for the underrepresented communities of diversity and people of color that face inequality, opposition or a lack of community cohesiveness from the economic perspective which specifically correlates to a lack of consistent networking, difficulties accessing career opportunities, no startup funding, lack of small businesses development, little to no access to information or public press, and have experienced low financial support in relation to nonprofit fundraising
The Diversity Business Economic Development of Tennessee (DBED TN) is a regional volunteer-driven & membership business directory and development network for people and non-profits of diversity & color. Rather if you are an entrepreneur, small business owner, non-profit leader, or a mid-sized corporation this platform is designed to assist local business-to-business, business-to-customer, business organizations, and its customers/volunteers in locating, supporting, patroning, growing, and engaging with businesses and nonprofits of diversity
What We Do
Communities of diversity need access to an all inclusive, community-based supportive network that provides venture capital funding support, access to resources, business and financial education and consistency in meetings where there is a sense of community and belonging without all of the politics and government intervention. We need something that focuses on the individual entrepreneurs development. We aim to address this problem that has plagued communities of diversity for decades by creating our own Community Directory, Engaging Memberships, Marketing Opportunities, Partnership Development Programs, Education and Workshops
